Love You, Mean It

The title of this blog is also the title of a song that I'm just in LOVE with! It's actually written and sang by one of Jared's good friends, Nicole Dean. If you haven't heard it, look it up. I listen to it once a day, AT LEAST! (I'll get back to this later) but for now, I'll update you on this past weekend. I'm sure you saw the photos posted on facebook, but in case you didn't, some girlfriends of mine and I went and stayed out a condo this weekend near Pier Park and it was SO MUCH FUN! My friends Ginny, Alison, Ashley, and I went out Friday night and came back this morning. This weekend was JUST what the doctor ordered...for me anyways. It was filled with shopping, eating, talking, eating, laughing, eating, resting, and oh, did I mention eating?! Friday night we went out for some Pizza at Pier Park and then walked around for a while, got some chocolate and ice cream, bought some necessities at Target and headed back to the condo. We then decided to go down and try out the hot tub and much to my surprise, it wasn't crowded...at least not after some of the people got out and left when the four of us showed up! By the time we got to the hot tub I think we all were a little giggly and sometimes that can be the best medicine. It was so nice and relaxing to be able to look out at the ocean and marvel in God's beauty! Afterwards we headed upstairs for some reading, tv watching, and card playing and finally fell asleep around 1. The next morning we had every intention of getting up at a decent time and heading back to Pier Park for some shopping but then the Hallmark channel intervened and we found ourselves getting ready in between commercials and hurrying back to jump on the bed and watch the rest of the movie. After the movie finally ended, we headed to Pier Park for some Red Robin and shopping and then it was back to the hotel for a nap! After napping, Alison and I headed to the sun deck on the 15th floor where we just stood looking out over the shoreline, catching up, laughing, and just commenting on the scenery. We then headed back down to meet up with Ginny and Ashley and go to dinner. When we left the condo, no one was really hungry and that was a good thing. It took 3 and I mean 3 full circles of driving up to Back Beach, down to Thomas Drive, up to Middle Beach, then on Front Beach and all over again before we finally ended up at Longhorns to enjoy some good steak and potatoes. After filling ourselves to our max capacity, it was time to head back and watch tv and rest. This weekend wasn't filled with any particular special events, restaurants, or site seeing, but it was filled with special women that I'm glad to call friends...ones that the song called "Love You, Mean It" truly speak to!

some of the lyrics say, "Dear Friend, I don't know how but you have changed my life...Dear Friend, I love you and there are so many reasons why...Dear Friend, you humble me and handle my heart with so much care. I know without a doubt that you will always be there. When the road in life is rocky and you can't stay on your feet, just walk along beside me and I'll be the friend you need. You give me hope, you give me strength, you make me better than I ever thought I could be. When my world comes crashing, you shelter me...some way some how you show me, I really love you, mean it!"
