If you didn't notice, I didn't blog last week and there were a few reasons for it.
1. I was house sitting and they didn't have internet there
2. Two great, godly, young people in my town died suddenly last week (both of which I knew and had a friendship with and I just couldn't bring myself to blog about the bachelorette or other mindless topics.
BUT, I'm now house sitting at a new house for the next 3 weeks (thinking I should do this as a profession), and thought I'd start this week out with a post!
This past weekend was a scorcher! With as hot as it was though, most of my weekend was spent outside. Jared's brother, sister in law, nephews, and niece are in town for the next week so we spent most of our weekend with his family (and by no means am I complaining...I LOVE them)!
Friday evening Jared and I went out to dinner, roamed around Pier Park, got some froyo and then headed to his parents to welcome his brother and family. Saturday we were back over at his parents, watched the kids play, ate lunch, came to check on the kitties I'm watching, and then back to his parents for a DELICIOUS meal and some more hang out time.
Today we went to church and heard Julio our recreational pastor speak and enjoyed another great service! After church we met Jared's family at PoFolks for some southern cookin' and then to the Scotts for rest time. We then got stirrin' and decided to head out to the State Park for a relaxing afternoon. Now, keep in mind Jared's nephews and niece are ages 6, 4, and 2 and when I think about a beach+3 kids under 6, relaxation doesn't normally come to mind, but it was WONDERFUL! The weather was beautiful, there was a nice breeze, perfect shade and the kids LOVED it! Jared got a work out pulling Tyson (6) around on the boogie board and helping Peyton (4) and Tyson build a sandcastle. It was an afternoon full of fun, had by all! Here are some pictures! Hope you had a great weekend too!
